Cooking advice...

Dear Cook-in-the-Cafe-at-work,

Things that leeks and potatoes are good in:
  • soup
  • stew
  • the occasional pie
Things that leeks and potatoes are not good in:
  • curry
Please bear this in mind the next time you make a Chicken Bhuna.

Yours in gastronomic anticipation,

Red Squirrel

Potatoes are very good in a certain type of curry - obviously not the type you're getting in the canteen.

gb - potatoes are fine in curry. Potatoes AND Leeks though? Uh-uh.

He'd obviously misread the recipe and gave you chicken bhoyo.

At least you HAVE a cafe in work. We have numerous vending machines and three microwaves that are always waaaayyy too popular at lunchtime.

Kevin - or possibly Yaki Dall?

P - we have those too (well, A microwave), and the food is normally good. But curry has rules! :)

I once ate a curry at a wedding in Coventry that had cabbage in it. It was a bit like a stir fry with soggy Odoreaters.

Cabbage is just wrong, plain wrong.
